Beer Geek Nation presents TMOH: To Øl Reparationsbajer Video Beer Review

by The Master of Hoppets on August 22, 2011

The day after your tour de force in the world of alcohol where your inhibitions have been thrown over your shoulder, your liver has been punished and the dance floor has not looked better since John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever, your physical and mental state needs to get in gear for another week of tedious paperwork. You need something to take away the taste of the cheap slave tequila, as you in a bet claimed you could easily chug. You need something to help you get over the ”moral hangover”. You need something that give you love and renewed zest for life. In simple terms, you need a really good repair beer.

The problem is that there are unlikely any perfect repair beers out there. Nausea consumed mass produced lagerers is exactly the last thing you want to think about after you have been out a couple times barfing up the left overs from last night. And in the light of this, To Øl had in a years time set out to develop the recipe for the perfect repair beer. It has taken a tough amount field work and incredible amount of test brews, but all results have been gathered and the conclusion sounds short, that the best way to cure your hangover is:
A potent Pale Ale with strong and aromatic American and New Zealand hops to give your tastebuds a cold turkey, combined with a nice round pleasant and well-balanced malt profile to massage the palate and reinforce the belief that you will survive.

Ingredients: Malt, Water, flaked oats, hops (Amarillo, Centennial, Nelson Sauvin) and yeast.
