Avery/Russian River Collaboration Not Litigation | Beer Geek Nation Video Beer Reviews Episode 114

Salvation. The name of two intricate Belgian-style ales created by us, Vinnie Cilurzo of Russian River Brewing and Adam Avery of Avery Brewing. After becoming friends a few years ago, we realized that we both had a Salvation in our line-ups. Was it going to be a problem? Should one of us relinquish the rights? “Hell no!” we said. In fact, it was quickly decided that we should blend the brews to catch the best qualities of each and create an even more complex libation. In April 2004, in top-secret meeting at Russian River Brewing (well actually it was packed in the pub, and many were looking over our shoulders wondering what the hell was going on), we came up with the perfect blend of the two Salvations. An Interview with a Craft Beer Bottle Shop Owner and His DFH Punkin Event…

Al’s of Hampden has become something of an icon in the central Pennsylvania beer scene. With currently 24 taps and 3 hand pumps it is a must visit for any beer geek in the Harrisburg area. Below the interview is a video I shot at a recent Pumpkin beer event at Al’s of Hampden. The highlight of the event was Dogfish Head’s Punkin that was run through a pumpkin filled with cinnamon sticks. Both Ben and I both give a brief description in the ... Read More »

The aging process extracts flavors from the wood, which contribute to its complex character. Hints of bourbon flavor perfectly compliment its roasted malts to produce a beer fit for a King. Beer Geek Nation presents San Diego Beer Vlog: Green Flash Silva Stout Video Review

Double Stout aged in oak bourbon barrels for seventeen months… Flavors are very complex. It starts off with dark chocolate truffles rolled in cocoa powder. Next is the vanilla and wood notes, with rich cherry-like fruitiness. After racking and filtering the ale, we blended in just the right amount of freshly brewed Double Stout to provide the perfect balance of bourbon barrel aging and freshness. Enjoy the culmination of years of flavor development now – no further aging required! Read More »

I Hardcore You is a 9.5% Imperial India Pale Ale, an international collaborative effort between 2 of Europe’s most rock ’n roll brewers.
