My girlfriend Shana returns for another beer review. Yay!
This is an interesting beer, possibly a nice intro to the style for those just getting into Belgian beers, but ultimately somewhat disappointing to both me (an old Belgian lover) and Shana (who was looking for more prominent flavors from the odd ingredients). It’s not a terrible beer, nor a great beer, but just a good one.
From the New Holland website:
Little John’s local bees create a spring wildflower-honey that lends a sweet, earthy complexity to a traditional style of beer with a balancing snap of ginger in the finish.
Pairings: fresh veggies, soft-ripened cheese, fruit of late summer, custards & biscuits.
